Played offensive line in Fruitland's 34-14 season-opening loss at Middleton.
— QB Brett Rypien, 6-2, 185, Shadle Park HS (Spokane, Wash.)
Opens the season at home against Fife High on Saturday.
— S Darrell Stewart, 6-1, 190, Nimitz HS (Houston)
Stats weren't available, but played quarterback and defensive back in 49-6 season-opening loss against Conroe on Thursday.
— WR Akilian Butler, 5-10, 181, West Mesquite HS (Mesquite, Texas)

— CB Ladarryl Blair, 6-0, 183, South Oak Cliff HS (Dallas)
Had six receptions for 67 yards, including a touchdown, and ran four times for 14 yards in a season-opening 56-34 loss to Cedar Hill on Saturday. (DallasNews.com)
