Davidson, Bandy lead Nashville to 10-5 win over San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- Matt Davidson hit a two-run double in the third inning, and Jett Bandy hit a two-run home run as the Nashville Sounds topped the San Antonio Missions 10-5 on Monday.

The double by Davidson, part of a three-run inning, gave the Sounds a 4-2 lead before Nolan Fontana hit an RBI single later in the inning.

San Antonio answered in the bottom of the inning when Lucas Erceg hit a two-run home run to cut the deficit to one.

Nashville starter Ariel Jurado (2-0) picked up the win despite allowing five runs and 10 hits over five innings. Opposing starter Bubba Derby (0-1) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game after a rough outing in which he allowed six runs and six hits over five innings.

Several Missions chipped in at the plate, as five players collected at least two hits. Tyrone Taylor singled four times, also stealing a base. The Missions also recorded a season-high 15 base hits.
