Getting there: Take I-84 east from Boise to the second exit at Mountain Home. Take U.S. 20 for 58 miles to Fairfield. Turn north and go 10 miles. It's about 1 hours from Boise.

Skiable acres: 1,147 on the main mountain and 1,515 for cat skiing.

Food price range: $5 to $9 for a meal.
