Idaho Fish and Game has suspended online sales of licenses and tags after a vendor’s computer system was breached.
The system will be unavailable until the state can ensure that customers’ information is secure, Fish and Game said in a press release Wednesday evening.
It’s undetermined whether any customer information was obtained in the breach, Fish and Game said.
Other Western states are investigating similar breaches.

Licenses and tags for hunters and anglers still can be purchased at Fish and Game offices or businesses that sell them. That service operates through a separate system.
Approximately 156 deer and 161 elk controlled-hunt tags go on sale at 10 a.m. MT Thursday. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis after they weren’t issued during the recent second drawing for tags.
