Brundage Mountain Resort begins its summer season with a preview weekend Saturday and Sunday.

Brundage plans a Wonderland Lawn Party on Saturday with croquet, other lawn games and a nine-hole disc golf course. A Father’s Day brunch will be offered from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday ($30 adults, $15 for 12 and under) and the disc golf course will be open.

Scenic chairlift rides (ticket required) will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. both days. There’s a one-mile nature trail in the base area.

Bike trails aren’t open yet.

The Thursday-Sunday summer schedule will begin June 22. Lift rides will be free on opening day. The hope is that the bike trails will be open that day, too, but the snow is as deep as 3 feet in some north-facing spots.

Other ski area notes:

▪  Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area and Sun Valley Resort open for the summer season July 1. Bogus Basin has been able to keep most of its summer improvements on schedule despite stubborn snow. Sun Valley will begin construction July 3 on two new mountain bike trails that will connect the Lupine and Saddle Up trails above Roundhouse Gondola to the River Run base area. The result will be a nearly 10-mile ride from top to bottom.

▪  Tamarack Resort opens its bike park June 24.
