Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area plans to open for the summer season July 1 as planned with most of the new amenities in place.

Among the new features expected to be available for the July 1 opening party: the bike skills park, mountain bike flow trail, summer tubing, bungee trampoline, rock climbing wall, mining station, amphitheater and rental bikes.

However, some of the changes — including the mountain coaster — will need more time than expected because of the soggy spring. The mountain coaster and the new patio and great lawn likely won’t be completed until August. The coaster, originally slated for an Aug. 1 opening, is expected to open in mid-August. The coaster will operate in the winter, too.

For a full rundown of the plans, check out this story from earlier this year.
