Wednesday is National Running Day — and the St. Luke’s FitOne fun run hopes to turn it into a banner day for St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital.
FitOne, the fifth annual 5k, 10k and half marathon that will be held Sept. 23, is running a one-day special of $20 for any distance all day Wednesday. Adult prices increase to $30 (5k), $40 (10k) and $50 (half marathon) on Thursday.
For every entry received Wednesday, Axiom Fitness will donate $1 to St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital.
“We have a big push to raise $10,000,” said Eric Stride, the executive director of St. Luke’s FitOne.

Last year, the event drew a total of 9,500 runners — so 10,000 entries in one day would be a massive success.
Axiom also is offering free fitness activities at its locations on Parkcenter in Boise and at The Village at Meridian on National Running Day.
Shu’s Idaho Running Co. will host a 30-minute run at 5:30 p.m. from the Parkcenter Axiom.
