What's there: Rainbow trout.
Description: The Henrys Fork is home to Idaho's big-money trout scene at the gateway to Yellowstone. There are posh lodges that cater to globetrotting trout anglers and the famous Railroad Ranch section that probably ties Silver Creek as the most photographed fishing spot in Idaho. But the Henrys Fork actually has numerous sections in its 120 miles that offer all kinds of different fishing, from catch-and-release, trophy trout fishing to general stream regulations for the worms and Powerbait crowd.
Getting there: Take I-84 to Mountain Home and then U.S. 20 across the state to Island Park.
Drive time: About 7 hours.
