Geology of Islands and Archipelagos: 1 to 2 p.m. at the Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology, 2455 Old Penitentiary Road, Boise. Boise River Community Lecture “Boise River Water Trail”: 6 p.m. at the Garden City Library, 6015 Glenwood St. Tom Chelstrom, Boise River canoeist and author of the “Guide to Canoeing the Boise River,” has teamed up with photographer and map maker Gary Grimm to create an armchair tour of the Boise River.
