GARDEN CITY POND WILL GET FISHING DOCK
The new dock at Riverside Park, at the corner of Glenwood Street and West Riverside Drive, will be installed adjacent to the parking lot on the west side of pond.
Construction is scheduled to begin July 20. The parking lot at Riverside Park will be closed during the two-week construction period. Pond and Greenbelt users should park at West Moreland Park across Glenwood Street from the pond or on the southeast side of Glenwood Bridge.
The Idaho Fish and Wildlife Foundation, Idaho Power, Boise Valley Fly Fishers, Garden City Parks and Waterways and Idaho Fish and Game contributed to the project.
ROUGH ROAD NEAR HELLS CANYON
Travelers on the Hells Canyon Scenic Byway area can expect one-hour delays on Wallowa Mountain Loop Road (Forest Road 39) in Oregon until Oct. 15.
Because of construction, parts of the road may not be paved and there will be loose gravel. A 30-mile detour on a single-lane gravel road with pullouts is available
The detour is suitable for vehicles with trailers; however it is not recommended for motorhomes or motorcycles. For more information, call 541-426-5546 or 541-742-7511.
