Fishing for browns in the Owyhee River

Idaho anglers love Oregon's Owyhee River and its famed brown trout. Go there anytime and rigs with Idaho license plates outnumber those from Oregon, probably five to one. Maybe even more.

That's because the river provides excellent fly fishing on a consistent basis year around and is only about a hour away from points in Treasure Valley. It also has national fame and is a destination for people visiting Southwest Idaho.

I had an opportunity to fish the river last week and shot this video, which captures the mood of the river.

Enjoy, and good fishing.
