When the heat arrives, head for Idaho's mountains

It's tough to beat mountain scenery, and if you're a mountain biker, you can get a ride to the top and cruise down. Check Thursday's Idaho Outdoors for a story about some of the coolest mountain bike trails in the state, including a brand new one at Sun Valley.

Sun Valley's has lifts operating for summer visitors, and they run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Adult lIft tickets are $20 single ride and $30 for a day pass, and kids ride for $15 single and $25 all day. Mountain bikers can only buy an all-day pass for the same prices.

Brundage Mountain in McCall is also operating its lifts from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Single rides are $12, and all-day passes are $32 for adults and $20 for kids and seniors.
