Runsvold letter: Guns

File under: “Do as I say, not as I do.”

This is an exact quote of the sign on the portable stand next to the entrance of the Lewis-Clark Trader gun show at the Ford Idaho Center, Nampa, on June 18:

NOTICE

NO LOADED FIREARMS

INCLUDING

“CONCEALED PERMIT FIREARMS”

ALLOWED ON PREMISES

ALL FIREARMS INSPECTED

AT ENTRANCE

(“Notice” and “No” were in bold print.)

Cabela’s and Sportsman’s Warehouse have similar notices at their entrances. Cabela’s employees escort customers out the door with their gun purchases.

So it’s a good thing to be packing the loaded gun you bought at a gun store or show at the movies, school, arena, courthouse, Statehouse, dance hall, etc., but not where you bought it. That makes sense since gun sellers of all people know how dangerous armed folks are.
