I was saddened to hear that Nez Perce Elder Horace Axtell had passed away. People need elders to teach how to live and be productive members of society. In his book “A Little Bit of Wisdom,” he said that many people hunt just for trophies. His tribe, and other tribes too, hunt for the meat for their families and other people. I hope with hunting season here we can think about what he said and stop trophy hunting.
