I am fed up with the deluge of unwanted telephone calls from boiler rooms and calls in violation of the no-call lists. Here is what I want the Idaho Legislature to do. Pass an Idaho law that would require every telephone company doing any business in Idaho to provide a three-digit number that could be used to permanently block calls from any number the customer selects or the telephone company should be required to furnish a three-digit number that would require (by law) the telephone company to pay the customer $2 for each unwanted call, to be deducted from the customer’s monthly bill, and if the $2 charges exceeds the total of the customer’s bill, the telephone company should pay the excess to the customer.
The national Republicans are the most do-nothing group I have ever seen. There is a lot they could do, or at least try. We need a clean sweep. And the Federal Reserve hates all savers, except those who are uber-rich and the bankers.
