Letter: State parks

Regarding the Aug. 29 editorial to get more money for Idaho Parks & Recreation by inviting businesses to sponsor Idaho parks, pardon my laughter over this rather inept idea. Based on previous problems regarding money and state government and dare we say the word scandals, could we perhaps get state government to collect more taxes from businesses here in Idaho so that not only the state parks can be taken care of, but also education and maintenance on state highways and the bridges on such highways, and state prisons as well?

It certainly would be of great help for those of us seeing our property taxes increasing year after year while watching the tax rate for those businesses and the overly wealthy go the other direction.
