Thanks once again to Dano Savino for the humor (letters Aug. 31). I might have guessed Dano to be a Trumpster, despite the fact that Trump actually “identifies as a Democrat,” knows that “the economy does better under Democrats,” called Bush the “worst president in U.S. history,” is “totally pro choice,” wants to “tax the wealthy” and “re-examine single-payer health care.”
Donald the carnival barker has clearly bamboozled angry, white conservatives into believing immigration is their problem and that spending tens of billions on a “huge” wall is as important than fixing our crumbling roads and bridges.
A “Trump cakewalk” Dano? Reminds me of the “Romney landslide” predictions from 2012. Women, blacks and Hispanics generally despise him and demographics have shifted even further over the past four years.
Granted, The Donald is endlessly entertaining. And if your idea of a U.S. president is an egomaniacal blowhard like Kim Jong Un with a finger on the button, great. He has a snowball’s chance of killing more than the Republican brand for eternity.
