Letter: Ron Crane

August 24, 2015 11:13 PM

The Statesman’s story on Ron Crane hiring a PR person should have had an opening paragraph of “Ron Crane spends taxpayer money to spin the story of his misused and misinvested taxpayer money that was was discovered by legislative audit.” How did taxpayers benefit from any or all of Mr. Crane’s PR spent money? Oh, they re-elected him. Did the Treasurer’s Office benefit from any of these expenditures? Did taxpayers benefit? No, no, only Mr. Crane benefited. Maybe his campaign committee should be reimbursing the state.
