Gas prices in the Boise area do not pass the smell test. Crude oil has dropped from $60 a barrel to $50 a barrel in the last few months. Why haven’t we seen a corresponding drop in gas prices at the pump? The usual stock answer from our suppliers is, “We have old higher-priced inventory to work off.” However, when crude oil goes higher, gas prices follow closely behind, and the response from these same suppliers is, “We had very little inventory left of the lower-priced gasoline.” Enough! We are getting hosed, pure and simple.
