Our elected officials should start at the top for gun control. Foreign aid is a joke. Most of the money goes to the 122 defense contractors in the United States and the approximately 52 gun manufacturers in the United States.
We supposedly give Egypt $1.5 billion dollars in foreign aid; $1.3 billion goes to the U.S. defense and gun manufacturers and only $200 million goes to help the people. This is the same for all other foreign aid recipients. We don’t care if they fight each other as long as our U.S. companies sell guns.
I doubt if it will ever happen, but the hypocrites who run this country should look at all the deaths they cause in other countries. Clean that up and then look to regulate guns in the U.S..
You might start with a tiered system that regulates the types of guns you can acquire. For example, if someone puts down on an application they are a hunter, and want to buy a .50-caliber machine gun, that would be rejected.
