With the heat brings the river floaters. Recently Barber Park and surrounding neighborhoods were overrun with people. The City and BPD need to make a better effort in showing a presence in the area on these hot weekend days. A continuous patrol would at least keep a better control on the traffic and the parking tickets that could be issued would probably pay for the coverage. The disruption to the Mill District and other areas along Eckert Road could at least be buffered. Generally the BPD response to specific calls made in the past to the area have been very good. I hope they can step it up again.
