Trump, you’re fired. The June 26 endorsement of Donald Trump’s presidential bid by one of the Statesman’s most outspoken liberal-bashing letter writers should have Hillary and the Democratic party dancing in the streets
Despite these nice words for America’s best know egomaniac, The Donald has no chance of winning the Republican primary. Wise party leaders and their deep pockets supporters are determined to convince voters in 2016 their party actually has an agenda beyond lowering taxes for the upper 5 percent. It is unlikely they would choose to disguise this Republican party track record by nominating a candidate who proudly proclaims “being really rich” is his principal qualification.
Many voters will hate to see Trump lose the nomination as it would add some comedy to a campaign filled with sound bites and political spin. He would probably attempt to better John McCain by choosing Dennis Rodman as his running mate.
