Picture this. A very hot day and an elderly couple stranded in a non-moving car at the corner of Franklin and Cole roads. Elderly man (90+ years) can’t get cellphone operating to call AAA. In desperation elderly man leaves wife in hot car to get to landline to call AAA.While he is gone, a gentleman on a bicycle stops to offer assistance, then a gentleman working on the railroad car shuttling operation drops down from the engine cab with two bottles of water for elderly man and elderly wife. Not to be outdone, two young ladies who had been driving by turned around, parked their car, and crossed four lanes of busy traffic to offer assistance. Between these ladies and the railroad man they managed to push the car to a safer position. By that time I had finished contacting AAA and was on my way back to the car, these same two ladies came to help me cross the tracks and report the results of my efforts. So if anyone wants to know where the best, kindest people in the entire world live, it’s a place called Boise, Idaho. Hands down.
