Regarding Frederick W. Bauer’s letter (June 5), maybe St. Luke’s expansion should be moved to their Meridian facility – given the location of the population increase and where the majority of the workers live, as stated by Mr. Bauer. Another point to consider is that Meridian has land for expansion and it is located right off a major highway. This upcoming expansion will probably not be the last, so what about the next one? How many years ago did Bannock get closed for expansion? It was stated at the meeting that only about 1,500 cars used Jefferson per day – but that would mean another 1,500 for Warm Springs or Reserve. Warm Springs just unloaded some of their traffic with the new bridge at Bown Crossing. Just another component to consider.
