Letter: Wolves and humans

Regarding the Guest Opinion by Maurice Clements (May 23): While reading it I was struck by the fact that after the first two paragraphs, if one substitutes the word “human” for the word “wolf,” the piece is just as valid and a lot more accurate.

I personally don’t care about wolves one way or the other, but I do know that any problems I’ve had in the backcountry have been caused by, you guessed it, humans. Predatory, not so smart, overbreeding, voracious humans. Humans who kill, slaughter, invade and destroy.

Maybe we should address the real problem and get rid of the humans.
