Letter: ‘You know’

Can’t anybody speak on TV without saying “you know” in every sentence?

I can barely get through an interview without changing the channel, especially a sports interview. Can’t anybody talk anymore without saying “you know” constantly? Even the announcers and interviewers say it. If a TV interview goes ad lib, the professional journalist can’t talk — the people being interviewed can’t talk without saying “you know” in every sentence.

Please, Idaho Statesman, don’t quit printing a paper. I need to get the news without suffering through TV news and their insufferable guests who don’t know how to talk.
