Letter: New Testament

May 20, 2015 12:04 AM

I am asking all who are willing to read the first chapter of Romans in the New Testament. Though brief, it is one of the best accounts of Rome’s fall, despite the many books written on the subject. Most people believe we too, are at a turning point in our nation. The problem is that when you ask someone what the two main problems are, they say “I don’t know” or “I don’t care,” Precisely.

If we are to avoid a fall similar to the fall of the Roman Empire, we need to care. And we need to get back to the right priorities. The scenes of our young people at spring break reveal they are searching for something to fill the void that only God can fill. Mark Twain said, “Two days are important in life: The day you are born and the day you discover life’s purpose.”
