In response to Trudy Day’s letter (April 29), I can’t believe anyone could say Bowe Bergdahl did his best. He turned his back on his comrades and allegedly deserted his post, putting them in harm’s way. Fellow troops have testified six died looking for him. That’s on him and him only. The Army tells you your duties and what’s expected of you. It’s up to you to carry out your duties and what’s expected of you.
Obama’s dog and pony show of Bowe’s parents was to try and sell the release of five major enemies as compassion for a soldier. What a crock. I wonder what the parents of six dead soldiers have gone through?
