Letters to the Editor

Letter: Carly Fiorina

It is interesting that Carly Fiorina’s main claim to fame is that she was the CEO of Hewlett-Packard. Indeed, she was, but only for five years before she was fired, but not without negotiating her $20 million-plus golden parachute. In those five years as HP’s CEO, she was able to take one of the world’s most admired companies and turn it into just another decent place to work. If Republicans are looking for fluff without substance, they need look no further.

I guess one good thing is that a few months after she ascended the throne, HP offered a good, enhanced early retirement package, which I was all too happy to take advantage of.
