Please vote “yes” Tuesday to establish the Kuna Recreation District. The population and tax base has grown (and continues to grow) and the timing is right to establish a long-talked-about Kuna Recreation District. I want to live in a Kuna that offers recreational opportunities to its residents. With my young sons, it was expensive and inconvenient to drive to recreation venues in Nampa, Meridian and South Boise. My sons are now grown, but I support establishing a Kuna Recreation District to help cultivate all of the things that are great about raising kids in Kuna. A Kuna Recreation District can also provide recreational opportunities so that all of us, young and old, can lead healthy, productive lives.
Voting to establish a recreation district is the important first step toward Kuna becoming a community where all residents can play and thrive. Based on my calculations for my almost-average house, the operating levy is estimated to be about $5 per month; this seems like a great investment in Kuna’s future. Please join me in voting yes to establish the district.
