Regarding: Idaho history of religious discrimination (April 23) — good news. If history does indeed repeat itself, then Hindus have a really good chance of becoming a political powerhouse in Idaho (based on the rise of Mormons and Basque Catholics in Idaho politics despite misguided discrimination against them in the past). And Muslims may not be far behind, given the Legislature’s apparent fear of Sharia law interfering with collection of child support due to Idaho’s children.
So, beware, Sen. “Sharia” Nuxoll and like-minded bigots: The law of unintended consequences may very well result in you having some very formidable Hindu or Muslim opponents in upcoming elections.
Let’s just call it karma.
