Letters to the Editor

Letter: Mother Earth

It seems it’s always “the other” that most of us think about. It’s never ourselves that is the trouble with the planet.

Sometimes it’s good to see a therapist and/or to sit in silent contemplation to understand ourselves. The unconscious has many secrets that we need to be concerned with. The more we know about ourselves the better adjustments we can make for the good of the planet.

Many people have said that the Earth is our mother. The Dalai Lama has pointed out that she is now “... compelled to tell us to be careful. The population explosion and many other indications make that clear, don’t they? Nature has its own limitations.”

And if you’re lucky, your heart will break.
