I read a guest opinion piece claiming the Legislature was right to put the quash on historical horse racing.
I also noted the writer, Bill Roden, is a lobbyist for the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, which has a giant casino up in Worley. Nothing against the tribes, but I don’t live near any of their casinos. It is a long drive to Jackpot or Winnemucca from Eagle.
The state of Nevada makes millions. Here’s an idea: Let’s put gambling up to a vote of the citizens of this state. There are many who would vote for it. Legislature... I dare you ... double-dare you. Chicken?
