Letter: Water concern

Harris ranch addition: 173 homes. Average people per home, four. Total, 692. Average vehicles per home, 2.5. Total, 1,630. Number of trips down and up in one day, your guess is as good as mine. Water consumption per home (Ref water consumption calculator - gscnetwork.com): 135 gallons per day per home. 6,210 gallons per month, 75,555 gallons per year. Multiply these totals by 173.

Can our aquifer take this big of a hit? Does anyone care?

Fresh water is a growing problem in this world. There is only so much, and for the most part, it is not where it is most needed. In time could we become another California? Just some food for thought.
