The “gun debate” is eternal and I don’t want to get into that. It seems to me, though, that one way to stem the mass shootings would be for a law prohibiting the release of the shooter’s name. If this raises constitutional issues, then citizens should put pressure on the news media. The press does not release the names of sexual assault victims and they could do the same with those who commit these mass murders to get their names out.
