In the Idaho Drivers Handbook, it says if you start to skid, “turn in the direction of the skid.” I have seen a lot of wrecks where someone over-steers and they lose all control. I think that if they added “don’t turn the wheel more than a quarter turn,” it would help. Because when the vehicle straightened out, they could straighten the wheel quickly, thereby keeping control of the vehicle. I didn’t learn this myself until after years of driving.
