I’m still waiting for Tommy Ahlquist to make his case for why he would be a better governor than Raul Labrador. It’s clear Ahlquist sees Labrador as his main competition, since conservatives are the majority of primary voters, and conservatives are not going to vote for Brad Little. But Ahlquist is just promising to be as conservative as Labrador. Labrador, meanwhile, has proven to be a true conservative. And not just when it’s easy, but when it’s hard. Ahlquist is just making empty promises, fed to him by his campaign consultants. With Labrador, you know what he’s saying is what he really believes. We know what kind of governor we’ll get with Labrador: a great one.
