Killam letter: Prison overcrowding

I wish to address the problem of prison overcrowding.

One way to ease the overcrowding is to release or parole the non-violent prisoners. For instance, the DUI inmate who was murdered should have been given probation.

Perhaps the prisons should attempt to expand the prison ministry in an attempt to reduce recidivism.

Also, the general public should help the released prisoners to blend in with the community and find jobs.
