Pinkerton letter: Taxes

When legislators pass tax cuts that mostly help the rich, they try to sell the cuts to the common folk with water-themed metaphors: “It raises all boats.” The already failed concept of trickle-down economics comes to mind. Legislators must think that the water theme will trigger positive responses. Now Jim Rice has added his own. “Tax changes flow through the economy, and they water more than just that one spot where you put them.” I feel better already.
