This March was Boise's warmest in eight decades

The month just ended was the second-warmest March ever in the Boise, the National Weather Service reports.

The record-holder is still March 1934, when the average high was 62.6 degrees, according to the NWS Boise office. That puts this past March in second place with an average high of 61.8 degrees. That temperature range is more typical of April, the Weather Service reports. Normal highs in March are 7 degrees lower.

The average low temperature this past March was 37.6 degrees, cooler than 1934's average March low of 38.7 degrees.
