A couple of readers touched base Friday morning to ask why we didn’t identify in this story all the legislators who attended Thursday’s statehouse presentation by two anti-Muslim activists who oppose refugee resettlement programs.
It’s a fair question. The answer is, in a crowd of about 200, we couldn’t be certain of making a full and accurate headcount. We estimated, conservatively, that about a dozen lawmakers attended.
Perhaps more important, though: not all those who attended did so because they endorsed the message being delivered. Some just came to observe.
