Emmett woman hospitalized after rollover in Gem County

A 22-year-old Emmett woman was transported to the hospital Thursday evening following a single-vehicle wreck in Gem County, according to Idaho State Police.

Taryne J. Chesterfield, 22, of Emmett, was driving south on Beacon Avenue, just north of West Black Canyon Highway, in a 1998 Ford Explorer. Around 5:24 p.m. she went off the left shoulder. Chesterfield swerved to get back on the road, but rolled. She was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, according to ISP.

Chesterfield’s health status is unknown, and the incident is still under investigation.
