2 injured after reported semi hit-and-run on Interstate 84

Two Oregon residents were transported to the hospital after a collision with a semitrailer, according to Idaho State Police.

After striking the SUV, the semi did not stop and has yet to be located, according to ISP.

Mariapatricia Juliano-Huntington, 52, of Salem, Ore., was driving her 1996 Mitsubishi Montero east on Interstate 84 near the Oregon border when the semi attempted to pass her. Its trailer crossed the line and struck the SUV. Juliano-Huntington reportedly went into the right shoulder, overcorrected, went sideways and rolled, according to ISP.

Juliano-Huntington and her passenger Harrison Juliano-Huntington, 18, of Salem, were both transported to St. Luke’s Fruitland Medical Plaza. Both had been wearing seatbelts.

The crash is still under investigation.
