Elisabeth Hill, 15, made the best of a 10-hour road trip from Billings, Montana to Salt Lake City Memorial Day.
The Utah teen, who is Idaho state Sen. Brent Hill’s granddaughter, used her smartphone to capture and edit a video of her lip-syncing to the “Les Miserables” song “One More Day.”
Since Elisabeth Hill’s father, Justin Hill, uploaded the video to Facebook May 31, it’s gotten more than 190,000 views.
The Hills had been at a family reunion in Billings for Memorial Day weekend. On their way back home to Salt Lake City, through West Yellowstone, and southern Idaho, Elisabeth would occasionally look out the window, and occasionally turn to her phone. The teenager did most of the filming and editing within 3 hours, Justin Hill said. When she finished, she showed her mom, riding in the passenger seat.

“I could hear my wife just laughing harder and harder as it went on,” Justin Hill said.
When they got home, he watched it, and asked his daughter for permission to share with his friends on Facebook. The video was shared more than 1,300 times, and Justin Hill got feedback from some of his video production friends that Elisabeth has some serious editing chops.
