A 14-year-old Twin Falls girl died from injuries sustained during a high school ski trip Saturday.
The Camas County Sheriff’s Office told KBOI-TV, Channel 2, that Taylor Biggs was skiing at Soldier Mountain Ski Area when she lost control and crashed into the side of a restroom building. She was found unconscious and not breathing, then was flown to a Boise hospital where she later died, officials said.
Soldier Mountain Ski Area issued a statement Monday, calling the teen’s death “a devastating loss.”
“Love and light to her family, friends and everyone in the community affected by Taylor's loss, including the Soldier Mountain ski patrol who worked tirelessly providing first aid until the helicopter arrived to take her to the hospital,” ski area officials said in the statement.
