Broadway Avenue will be closed between Myrtle and Front streets over the weekend while crews pave the road, according to an Idaho Transportation Department press release.

Paving will begin Friday night at 10, and is expected to be complete by Monday morning at 6.

The work just north of the Broadway Bridge is part of this year’s project to replace that bridge. This is the last section of Broadway that will be paved.

Construction is on schedule and set to be complete in early September, according to ITD.

Over the weekend, Myrtle and Front streets will each be reduced to one lane near the Broadway intersections, and drivers will need to take detours around the construction. Flaggers will direct traffic, as signals at the intersections will be shut off, according to ITD.
