Boise Rock School offers free music camp for at-risk kids

Boise Rock School is hosting a week of "free rocking" with 36 lucky students.

The group is targeting at-risk youth, refugees and those that would otherwise not be able to afford camp.

The camp is open to students between the ages of 6 and 18. It will take place at the school's downtown location, 1404 W. Idaho St. in Boise the week of Aug. 18.

Boise Rock School will choose students for this camp through a nomination process. Send your nominations to with the subject heading "Free Camp."

Include the students name, age, instrument choice and a brief description of why the student should attend music camp.
