California man to pedal through Boise on his national ride to prevent malnutrition

Luke Mysse, a San Diego businessman, is riding his bike from California to New York to raise money for Stop SAM, an organization that's working to end extreme childhood hunger.

Stop SAM is a nonprofit partnering with MANA Nutrition to provide easily-transported, nutrient-rich  "super food" packets for African children.

The theme of Mysse's ride is "5,000 miles for 5,000 lives." He's trying to raise $250,000 to buy enough food packets to save 5,000 children. All donations will go to the cause.

Mysse is also inviting other cyclists to join him along the route. Participants will receive a special "Cycle Cause" pin.
