The Idaho Military Museum is hosting an event, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 4692 W. Harvard St. in Boise (adjacent to Gowen Field) to celebrate nearly $800,000 of renovations and new exhibits.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 11 a.m.
The day will include special exhibits about the Revolutionary War, Civil War and World War II and war re-enactors. The Idaho Automatic Weapons Collectors Association will present a special weapons exhibit. Demonstrators will fire historic weapons using blanks.
