Bust out your favorite visor and slather on the SPF because the Treasure Valley Down Syndrome Association is hosting the TVDSA Trisomy 21 Open Golf Tournament on Saturday, July 15, at Eagle Hills Golf Course, 605 N. Edgewood Lane.

The tournament will be a scramble format with check-in at 7 a.m. and shotgun start at 9 a.m.

There will be several activities throughout the 18 holes, including a Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin events, the Dixon Golf Challenges and, new this year, the ProShot Challenge.

Proceeds go toward raising awareness about Down syndrome and supporting the Down syndrome community and their families.

Registration is $100 per player and includes golf, cart, lunch and more. Registration is free for players with Down syndrome. Players need to be at least 14 years old, and all abilities are welcome.

Online registration has closed, but day-of registration will be available the morning of the event. For more information, go to birdeasepro.com/tvdsagolf17.
